About
A student at heart,
in the madrasa, the classroom
and the company.
Yousuf Naveed Khan is a Hafiz-e-Quran, software architect and educator based in Karachi, Pakistan. He is Founder & CEO of GFT Solutions and Senior Instructor at Aptech Gulshan-2. Here is the story behind the work, told in three eras.
Era one
Foundation
My education began in the madrasa. I completed hifz of the Qur’an in 2019 and continued with Dars-e-Nizami in Karachi, where I am now in my fourth year. Arabic and Urdu are languages I love, and what I learned there is what I carry into everything else.

Era two
Craft
I teach software engineering at Aptech Gulshan-2, the same institute where I studied. Alongside teaching, I learned how business really runs: business from Kafeel Ahmed at Musab Enterprises, and finance and office management from Sir Zaid Siddiqui at Aptech. Sir Syed Muhammad Arsalan Shah gave me direction through all of it.
In 2023 I started GFT Solutions with a few partners. In time each of them went their own way, and I carried on alone. I am grateful that it survived: today GFT is a registered company with a small team of four to five, working mostly with B2B clients and aiming at bigger ones.
Era three
Vision
I am the founder and product lead of OptiCore, a desktop POS and accounting system for optical shops, currently in testing. I am preparing a Machine Learning Engineering track for my students, and I keep working in the industry so that what I teach is what the industry actually uses.
I do not work without a vision, and I try to build it properly, with good people beside me.
How I work
Four habits that never change
01
Architecture before code
I start with clarity: structure, intent and the second year of a system’s life, not just the demo.
02
Teach the why
Why a technology exists, how it works, when to reach for it, and where it is used, then build around it.
03
Real users, real shops
The best requirements come from sitting where the work happens, not from a meeting room.
04
No unrealistic promises
Honest estimates, honest limits. I guide; I do not guarantee outcomes I do not control.
