Privacy policy.

This is a personal website. It has no user accounts, no shop, no advertising and no tracking of individual visitors. The short version: I only receive what you choose to send me through the contact form, and I use it only to reply to you.

Who is responsible

This site, yousufnaveedkhan.com, is run by Yousuf Naveed Khan, Karachi, Pakistan. For anything in this policy, email yk033127@gmail.com.

What I collect, and why

1. When you use the contact form

The form asks for your name, email address, a topic and your message. These are sent to me by email so that I can read and answer your enquiry. I do not use them for anything else, I do not add you to any mailing list, and I do not sell or share them.

The form is handled by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. Your submission passes through their servers on its way to my inbox. Web3Forms is a separate service with its own privacy policy, and its servers may be outside Pakistan. The form is sent over HTTPS, and it includes a hidden spam check that real visitors never see.

If you would rather not use the form, you can email me or message me on WhatsApp instead; the details are on the contact page. Anything you send that way stays between you and me.

2. Visit statistics and page speed

The site is hosted on Vercel, and uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These give me simple, aggregated numbers: which pages are visited, roughly from which country, which type of device and browser is used, and how fast pages load. They do not use cookies, do not follow you across other websites, and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.

As with any website host, Vercel’s servers also handle your IP address and standard request details in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure. I do not use these to identify you.

3. Your light or dark theme choice

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it on your next visit. It is stored on your device only and is never sent to me or to anyone else. You can clear it any time from your browser settings.

What I do not do

• I do not use advertising cookies or marketing trackers.
• I do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
• I do not use social media pixels or embedded third-party widgets.
• I do not ask for payment details, passwords or government ID anywhere on this site.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own for tracking or advertising. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, not from a third-party font or image service.

How long I keep your information

Messages from the contact form are kept in my email inbox for as long as they are needed to answer you and to keep a sensible record of the conversation or work that follows. If you ask me to delete your message, I will. Visit statistics are aggregated and kept by Vercel according to its own retention settings.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me at any time to tell you what I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. If you live in the UK, the European Union or another place with data-protection law, you may have further rights, such as objecting to how your information is used or asking for a copy of it. I will respect the rights that apply to you.

To make a request, email yk033127@gmail.com from the address you used, and say what you would like. I aim to reply within a few working days.

Links to other sites

This site links to LinkedIn, GitHub, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, GFT Solutions’ own website and other places. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies, and I am not responsible for how it handles your information.

Children

This site is written for adults and for students of working age. It is not aimed at young children, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If a child has sent me a message, a parent or guardian can ask me to delete it.

Changes to this policy

If I change how the site works in a way that affects your information, for example by adding a new service, I will update this page and the date above.

This policy is written in plain language to describe honestly what the site does. It is not legal advice. If anything here is unclear, please ask and I will explain it.
