POS billing
Fast counter billing for frames, lenses and accessories.
OptiCore · by GFT Solutions
Desktop POS, inventory and accounting built from the counter of a real optical shop: billing, stock, customers, prescriptions and orders, on the shop’s own computer.
Why it exists
Generic POS tools are rarely built around lens orders that move from advance to recovery to delivery, or around a prescription that sits beside a customer’s credit ledger. OptiCore is built around both, because the requirements came from a working optical shop, not from a feature checklist.
I am the founder and product lead. I gathered the requirements, decided the business logic with the shop (pricing, inventory, accounting rules, permissions), made the architecture decisions, and handle real-shop testing, bug reports and deployment myself, together with the GFT team.
Modules
Nine modules that cover the shop from the counter to the books.
Fast counter billing for frames, lenses and accessories.
FIFO costing, plus support for bulk and variable-price items.
Purchasing, supplier accounts and what you owe.
Customer records with credit ledgers and balances.
Prescriptions stored against each customer.
Track every order from advance, through recovery, to delivery.
Multiple cash and bank accounts managed in one place.
Owner, manager and staff each see only what they should.
Backups of the shop’s data, encrypted.
Deployment
Installed with a Windows installer and used like any other desktop program, with no browser needed.
Each shop has its own installation and its own database on its own computer.
OptiCore is shop software, not a cloud SaaS. A cloud direction is something we plan for later.

Honest about the stage, because shops rely on what we say.
